Walk in Her Shoes

CARE USA was looking to create a US version of their worldwide Walk in Her Shoes (WIHS) walk-a-thon events. Their website needed to serve as a “virtual walk,” allowing people from all around the country to come together to raise funds to support CARE’s work while also doing something tangible to address the challenges facing girls and women in the developing world. We designed and built the first WIHS website to allow peer-to-peer fundraising; integrated with DonorDrive, a third-party peer-to-peer fundraising platform; and developed step-tracking functionality that synched with apps such as Fitbit, Moves and Jawbone. We also designed promotional materials for the event, as well as a brand book to set the style and tone for all WIHS materials.
