Domestic Beast

Canine design that fits your style

Anyone who knows anyone at ideapark knows that we love dogs. In fact, we’ve had up to 8 dogs at a time wandering the halls of our office. Frustrated by a lack of stylish dog stuff – and inspired by these furry colleagues – we decided to create our own online dog boutique, selling well-designed dog accessories. The best part: We realized we had the ability to do it all in-house. Not only did we create the brand identity, we also designed and built the website, deployed an e-commerce platform and figured out how to fulfill orders out of a little room in our office building. The result: A valuable case study, a successful business venture…and some of the best dog products in the world.

Talking like a human being

Domestic Beast is more than just a brand. We’re a community of dog owners. We don’t just talk about our products; instead, we find funny, creative ways to connect with consumers, sharing content and asking questions that we’re genuinely interested in. We give a lot and don’t ask for much in return, building brand credibility and engagement by simply connecting with people on a human level.

Developing a compelling content strategy

Our plan from the beginning was never to be “just” an e-commerce site. We wanted our communication vehicles to be content-rich in order to engage potential customers and build a loyal consumer base. Using our proprietary process, we pinpointed content specifically relevant to this audience.

Walking in our clients’ shoes

One of the benefits of this project was that we were able to experience what our clients go through every day. We better understand the challenges of balancing an infinite to-do list against a set of finite resources. And, unlike other agencies, our firsthand experience gives us the expertise we need to help our clients efficiently prioritize and accomplish their business goals.
