Box Tops For Education

Making a difference for America's schools, one Box Top at a time

Since 1996, America’s schools have earned over $600 million from General Mills’ Box Tops for Education program, and ideapark has been there every step of the way. We’ve worked with Box Tops for over 15 years, since their very first website launched in 1997. As their lead digital agency, ideapark brings the program to life online, finding new ways to engage families, provide helpful resources for in-school volunteers and evolve the Box Tops brand to meet constantly changing technology and consumer needs.

Showcasing the brand

The purpose of any website is to engage, educate, and encourage interaction with its audience. Box Tops has a multitude of components, including over 200 products, each of which need to be included in a simple, well-designed interactive experience. From email to website to mobile, ideapark uses a flexible, yet well-structured, approach to find communications solutions for this large and constantly evolving program.

Communicating with the audience

The Box Tops website and emails are essential tools used to give Box Tops supporters information on their school’s earning progress and encourage program participation. Over the years, the Box Tops audience has evolved from viewing these communication vehicles on their desktop computers to interacting with the brand via smartphones and tablets. With the user experience at the forefront of our design, we create interactive solutions that are smart, simple and clear.

Creating customized promotions

Contests, sweepstakes and promotions are an engaging way for school supporters to interact with the brand while getting a chance to win extra cash for their school. From initial concept to final design, ideapark works with both Box Tops and its participating brands to create customized landing pages and site elements, intertwining individual brand messaging with Box Tops style.
